{"id":576,"date":"2012-05-21T21:17:02","date_gmt":"2012-05-21T13:17:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.outblaze.com\/?p=576"},"modified":"2012-05-21T21:17:02","modified_gmt":"2012-05-21T13:17:02","slug":"android-tablets-for-education-delivered","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.outblaze.com\/?p=576","title":{"rendered":"Android Tablets for Education &#8211; delivered"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Chan's Creative School (HK Island)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ccshki.edu.hk\/index.htm\">Chan&#8217;s Creative School<\/a>\u00a0has received the 50 Android tablets donated by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.outblaze.com\">Outblaze<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.animoca.com\">Animoca<\/a>\u00a0in a social programme designed to reduce the digital divide and assess the impact of tablet devices in the learning environment.<\/p>\n<p>Outblaze and Animoca believe that all children should receive exposure to mobile computing in the classroom in order to enjoy the learning and economic opportunities (short and long-term) associated with use of \u00a0modern tablet technology. The affordable devices all run on Ice Cream Sandwich, Google&#8217;s latest Android operating system. Over the next several weeks we will evaluate the impact of touch-based mobile computing on the school and students.<\/p>\n<p>On Animoca&#8217;s blog there are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.animoca.com\/en\/2012\/05\/50-androids-march-to-school-for-training-day\/\">more photos<\/a> of the devices being unpacked while the school staff wait to begin the training session.
